On July 23, 2018, at 7:15 pm, East Umatilla County Rural Fire Protection District and Helix Fire, were called to Upper Dry Creek Road for a vehicle and grass fire. Milton-Freewater Rural Fire Department also responded and was already on scene and had the fire under control when our units arrived.
Milton-Freewater Rural brought 1 Class A Engine, 13,000 gallon tender, 2 type 3 engines and 1 type 6 engine. East Umatilla County RFPD and Helix Fire brought 3 type 6 engines, 1 type 3 engine and 1 tender.
One-tenth of an acre was burned as well as a work truck. No person or animal was harmed in this fire.
